Marianna had just gotten home from her job. She worked in a building that connected a hospital, an animal hospital, and a nursing home. From six in the morning to 11 in the afternoon she would be a nurse at the hospital. She was more then qualified to be a doctor, but most humans didn't trust a sixteen year old looking girl to work on them. From one in the afternoon to six in the evening, she would be working as one of the best vets in that certain animal hospital. Of course, she was only allowed to use her magic when the pet owner didn't demand to be with the animal.
Marianna was alarmed when Storm didn't immediately come out to greet her when she entered the house. At one point, Storm was as average as any dog could get. He was less then an inch away from death when she had found him. Marianna had used such a large amount of magic to keep him from dying, most of the magic now ran through his blood. The magic strenghtened him in more then one way.
"Storm, where are you?" She shouted desperately after searching the whole area, there weren't many places Storm could hide in the small house.
Finally, she calmed down and attempted to use their connection of her magic. She could practically feel his mind as she walked blindly through the streets. Which was not the smartest thing to do in L.A., but Storm was the only friend Marianna had. She wasn't about to give him up without a decent fight. Ignoring all the car screeches and curses she was recieving, she continued on. Finally, after what felt like hours in her trance, she walked into a brick wall and fell onto her back.
"Ow," She whined as she absently rubbed her forehead and realized it was raining.
Marianna looked up and saw a sign that said Blue Moon. She entered hesitantly, knowing she looked horrible. She was still in her uniform, her eyes were puffy from crying, she was soaked from head to toe from the rain, her hair was a mess and sticking about in a crazed way, and she most likely had a large bruise on her forehead. People gave her strange looks as she passed. The connection was gone now but if she was lead here, she would search. Marianna went to the bar tender who was chatting cheerfully with another girl.
"Excuse me, have you seen a dog about...this high? He's a dark blue but his paws, tail, ears, snout, and stomach are silver. He answers to the name Storm." Her normal tone had transformed to a teary plea by the time she got to his name.

Terance sat in front of the gilded mirror in her quarters glaring at the perfect curls her mother had punished her with. Truthfully, the young lady didn’t mind it that much; it was just because her mother had done it to her that made her hate it so much. A smirk touched her lips as a plan of defiance formed. She picked up the silver pick that sat on her dresser and began methodically combing through the neat curls ignoring the tangles it induced. A few minutes she looked toward her reflection again, her smirk changing to a satisfied smile. Her once neat curls had been transformed to a pleasingly messy ponytail with pieces of her red hair sticking out at odd angles and curls she hadn’t thoroughly combed. Long, layered, chin length bangs framed her face and Tera couldn’t help but grin, “Mama will just love the change,” she stated sarcastically with a demure smile.
She stood going through her wardrobe till she reached the very back where she had hidden her favorite surcoat and tunic and exchanged it with the formal gown she was supposed to wear for dinner, “Much better,” Tera sighed loving the feeling of the familiar, comfortable, cloth against her skin. The Heir of the Second Family paused in her social rampage, moving to the open window to watch the rain softly fall, “I think I’ll skip dinner tonight.” Terance waited a few minutes longer for the rain to slacken before she jumped nimbly from the window to the ground a few feet below.
The noble automatically headed deep into the gardens where very few of the other court pets her age dared to go and since it was still wet she doubted any of the younger ones would be there either. The gardens around her took on a wilder shade that matched Tera’s mood as she continued to her destination that lay deep within the garden maze. The rain continued to sprinkle around her as she finally reached her secret alcove. Two small but sturdy trees sheltered a hammock that stretched between them. The branches of the trees she couldn’t name swept low, almost brushing the smooth stones underfoot, nearly hiding the hammock from view. The heady scent of jasmine and roses made a real smile appear on her face as she stepped through the curtain of branches to her hammock.
The first time Tera had found this secret place the hammock had scared her because finding a balance had not been her strong point. Now as Terance lay down she couldn’t imagine anything more relaxing, unless, Armondé had been there with her, holding her. She closed her eyes, lightly humming the song he had sung for her as the hammock rocked gently in the breeze sending her soothing voice through the maze like a ghost’s song.
(( Oh my....I think it might be too long...my apologies! ))
