Have you ever read a book that has inspired you to write your own?
Have you ever read a book that after reading one page left you light headed from all the different ideas that suddenly came to you for your own projects?
Has an author ever captured your attention so fully that you couldn't put their book down even if you wanted too?
Well, this is the place to talk about it. Give titles and authors please, if you remember.

Capturing my attention is practically all books I read. I'm easily amused. ^^' But I want to talk about Amelia Atwater-Rhodes' vampire series. They're short reads, but great stories. After I read those, it not only gave me an obsession with vampires, but it made want to start creating my own type of vampires. The thought process lead on from there. I started attempting to make my own everything to put in my own world. After three years, I haven't gotten that far... but it was fun. I'm hoping to actually start creating stories in my world soon. It all started with Ahar's vamp stories.

I've read most of those, Wink. Amelia Atwater-Rhodes is a very good author.
I've got so many authors that I love. And waaaay to many books to mention. Usually it's almost too easy to get caught up with a book and have those random sprees where you stay up until 2am just to finish the last half of the book because you have to know what's going to happen. Some of the most amazing books that I loved the most were:
Twilight -Stephanie Meyer (Series) City of Bones -Cassandra Clare (Series) The Rose and The Beast -Fracesca Lia Block (Book of short stories) Winter Rose -Patricia McKillip Crown Duel -Sherwood Smith Uglies -Scott Westerfield (Trilogy) Abhorsen -Garth Nix (Trilogy)
Anything by Tanith Lee, mostly her YA fiction and anything by Tamora Pierce.
I keep adding to my list! >.< I'm done now. :x

I know what you're talking about. I don't like starting a book after eight pm because I know I won't let go until I'm done. Even if I force myself to sleep, I'll just end up waking in the middle of the night so I can read. My other favorite author is Katie MacAlister/Katie Maxwell. My favorite book from her is Hard Day's Knight. It's hilarious, romatic, and suspensful. My all time favorite book, but it's a pretty close draw. There are a few of her books however that I don't see much of a point in. They are all entertaining but books like her The Corset Diaries don't really have a point. Well the point is kinda romance but just romance by itself can get kinda boring for me. I'm going to keep spliting my lists into different ones so it doesn't look like I'm posting a gigantic list. XD

I've read a few that have made me want to write. That's about it.
Hitchhikers Guide and Killing Floor, namely.
